A CLB cluster supports up to 120 million simultaneous connections.

It can handle heavy traffic with a peak of 40 Gbps, with a processing capability of 6 million packets per second.

It is tolerant to diversified services and efficiently supports more than 100 million Web services.

Traditional hardware devices such as F5 BIG-IP and Netscaler support only several millions of connections, with the throughput smaller than 5 Gbps. It cannot meet burst and mass Web access requests


The CLB can expand the service capability of an application system by using the horizontal scaling function.

It combines with Auto Scaling to automatically create and release CVM instances and configure load balance, with no need to manually intervene and estimate resources. The CLB creates and terminates CVMs based on monitoring status. Combined with 2nd-level charging, it makes full use of your computing resources.

When traditional devices such as F5 and Netscaler encounter a service bottleneck, higher-specification devices need to be purchased for re-deployment, affecting service development.


Hardware devices do not need to be purchased. The rental of the public network LB is 1 CNY /day, and the rental of private network LB instances is free. Traffic-based and bandwidth-based billing modes are provided, and you can select the one that best fits your service requirements.
